Shagbark is a stained glass studio located in the North Shore suburb of Chicago in Highland Park, next to Highwood, Illinois.

Bill is an architectural glass artist who designs and builds stained glass windows to the liking of homeowners, architects, contractors, designers, members of churches & synagogues, school administrators and corporate business owners.
Newly custom made stained glass is his specialty. The techniques Bill uses to create one-of-a-kind glass environments include glass beveling for clear glass lead came windows; opalescent colored glass using the copper-foil Tiffany technique; old world glass painting fired in the kiln and fused glass, also fired in the kiln, which lends a softer more poetic blending in layers of color.

Bill's work may be seen in many parts of eastern Iowa where he began the business with his parents.
In recent years he has adorned many up-scale homes in the north shore suburbs of Chicago, with his glass art, in Highland Park, Lake Forest, Deerfield, Glenview, Winnetka and Wilmette. Burr Ridge, Hinsdale and Glen Ellyn also hold some of Bill's more traditional glass designs. Many have commented that Bill's work is some of the most original they have seen, not only on the north shore of Chicago, but in the Midwest.He is pleased to offer free "at your place" consultation in the western and northern Chicago suburbs.
